RISEUP Muslim Explorers
A peer-mentorship journey for Muslim girls — where older sisters walk alongside younger ones as they know themselves, strengthen themselves, and give back to their community.
Raising daughters rooted in fitra and faith
Mahabah, Inc. is a nonprofit organization rooted in the belief that strong Muslim families begin with confident, grounded daughters — and confidence is built young, in the company of the right sisters.
RISEUP Muslim Explorers is our girls' mentorship program, held in partnership with Ihsan Islamic Center in Milford. Younger girls are paired with older peer mentors — sisters just a few steps ahead on the path — for weekly Saturday sessions built around identity, character, and community.
It is a journey in three parts: Know Yourself, Strengthen Yourself, and Give Back to Community — each stage building on the one before it.
Three pillars. One mission.
Her natural, God-given disposition is the starting point. Before she can strengthen or give, she first comes to know who Allah created her to be.
Modesty and dignity, carried as a source of strength rather than restriction — practiced in how she speaks, dresses, and treats others.
Faith and character take root in community — with sisters, mentors, and family walking the path together, not in isolation.
A path of progressive growth
Each stage builds upon the last — moving from self-understanding, to inner strength, to service. Girls who move through all three stages emerge ready to mentor the sister behind them, closing the circle.
The foundational stage. Girls explore their identity, their fitra, and their worth through guided reflection and real conversation with an older peer mentor — not a lecture.
Weekly Saturday SessionsBuilt on that foundation, girls develop confidence and hayaa — practicing resilience, self-respect, and clarity of values in everyday settings.
Weekly Saturday SessionsWhat she's built doesn't stay with her. She steps into leadership and service, mentoring younger girls and carrying the program's mission forward.
