Marriage deserves preparation.
Our Pre-Marriage Assessment is a structured tool designed to help individuals and couples gain deeper self-awareness, improve communication, and identify strengths and growth areas before marriage. It supports intentional decision-making and meaningful conversations, grounded in responsibility, reflection, and faith-centered values.
This assessment is not about predicting success or failure. It is about preparing wisely.
There are three different options available to support couples at varying stages of readiness and availability. Each option begins with the same comprehensive pre-marriage assessment, with the level of depth and time varying based on how extensively couples wish to review, reflect on, and apply the results through guided coaching.
What We Offer
-
Pre-Marriage Assessment + One 2-Hour Session
After completing the premarital assessment, you will participate in a single, in-depth session reviewing your results with a Mahabah coach.
This format provides a quick walkthrough of the report, with emphasis on:
Marriage mindset and readiness
Core strengths and caution areas
Communication and conflict tendencies
Key recommendations for next steps
Best suited for:
Couples with time constraints, clear direction already in place, or those seeking an informed overview before moving forward. -
Pre-Marriage Assessment + Three 60-Minute Sessions
The Focused assessment is reviewed over three structured sessions, allowing space to reflect, ask questions, and process important themes rather than addressing everything at once. Sessions are tailored to the couple’s specific dynamics.
Typically includes focused discussion on:
Marriage mindset and emotional wellbeing
Family context, expectations, and finances
Communication styles, conflict patterns, and connection
Best suited for:
Couples who want more than a surface-level review and value guided discussion, but do not require a full coaching journey. -
Pre-Marriage Assessment + Seven 60-Minute Sessions
The assessment is unpacked gradually across multiple sessions, allowing each major domain to be explored with depth.
Sessions may explore:
Marriage mindset and emotional wellbeing
Family of origin, social support, and expectations
Financial attitudes and decision-making
Personality dynamics and love styles
Communication and conflict resolution
Spiritual alignment and shared values
Best suited for:
Couples seeking comprehensive preparation, deeper self-awareness, and ongoing support as they build a strong foundation for marriage.
Why a Pre-Marriage Assessment?
What the Assessment Explores?
The assessment provides insight into key areas that impact marital life, including:
Communication and conflict styles
Personality traits and temperament
Emotional needs and stress responses
Financial attitudes and decision-making
Expectations around roles and responsibilities
Family background and influence
Core values and life priorities
The goal is not judgment, but awareness, growth, and informed decision-making—so couples can enter marriage with clarity, mercy, and realistic expectations.
Marriage is a mithāq ʿaẓīm—a solemn and weighty covenant that carries spiritual, emotional, and moral responsibility. Many marital challenges do not stem from a lack of love, but from unspoken expectations, weak communication, and unresolved differences that were never thoughtfully addressed.
This pre-marriage assessment invites couples to slow down, reflect with honesty, and approach marriage with intention and accountability. It creates space for meaningful conversations rooted in self-awareness, responsibility, and trust in Allah—before differences turn into sources of tension.
