Leadership
Senior Mentors

Br. Asim Chughtai
Program Lead & Senior Mentor
I'm honored to serve as Program Lead and Senior Mentor for the Level UP Mentorship Program with Mahabah. Volunteering for the sake of Allah and seeking His pleasure has been a central part of my life for many years. I currently volunteer as a teacher and program lead with Ihsan Muslim Explorers School, previously volunteered with ICGC in West Chester, and taught Islamic studies at the local masjid in Blacksburg, Virginia for several years before moving to Ohio. I have also been blessed to serve the community as a khatib for many years.
I currently work as a Lead Design Engineer at GE Aerospace. Alongside work, I continue my Islamic scholarship and will encourage the young men to do so as well. I have completed the Muslim Blueprint program through the I3 Institute led by the honorable Sheikh Mehmet Usta, and the two-year program with Zad Academy Online which is a comprehensive program based in Mecca covering 'Aqeedah, Fiqh, Seerah, Hadith, Tafsir, and Tarbiyah.
I am 27 years old and Allah has blessed me and my wife with our beautiful children, Zainab and Abdallah. They give me a personal appreciation for how important mentorship and character development are to Muslim families here in the States. My goal in this role is to encourage and guide the young men to grow into strong, confident leaders of their families and their communities who are rooted in deen, insha'Allah!.

Br. Ibrahim Badawi
Senior Mentor
I feel very privileged and humbled to be joining the Mahabah team this year. I am currently a second-year PhD student in the Chemical Engineering Department at UC. Bi-fadlillah, I completed the memorization of the Quran four years ago with qira'at Hafs 'an 'Asim. I studied the Quran at Dar Al-Arqam School in Egypt under Sheikh Hassan — who, mashallah, holds ijaza of the 10 qira'at from multiple scholars including Al-Masrawi. During that time, I attended many lectures and lesson series from multiple shuyookh from Al-Azhar and beyond, covering 'Aqeedah, Usool Fiqh, Seerah, Hadith, and Tafseer.
I am also part of the religious committee at the Clifton Mosque and serve as one of its imams. Among our regular activities is a weekly Quran recitation session that I help lead. InshaaAllah, soon to be married!
Brotherhood
Our Junior Mentors

Br. Tarik Jabir
Junior Mentor & Operations Coordinator
I am a 23-year-old Software Engineer at Medpace with a passion for evidence-based habit formation and self-improvement — always rooted in and tied back to Islamic principles. I completed my undergraduate studies in just two years and am currently pursuing a Master's degree while enrolled in the SeekersGuidance program, continuing to grow in my Islamic knowledge alongside my professional career.
Over the past year, I have been going through the Mahabah mentorship training and mentoring boys, and I'm now stepping fully into the Level UP Program with hands-on experience and a deep commitment to the young men I serve. Outside of work and study, I enjoy working out and exploring the latest in technology.

Br. Yosef Jaber
Junior Mentor
I am 20 years old and a second-year Computer Science student at the University of Cincinnati, on an accelerated BS/MS combined track. Discipline, a strong work ethic, and hands-on fitness experience are at the core of who I am — and what I bring to every session with the young men I mentor.
Over the past year, I have been going through the Mahabah mentorship training and mentoring boys with full commitment and reliability, and I am honored to continue that journey with the Level UP Program. Outside of my studies, I enjoy running, working out, and programming.

Br. Moazzam Nafees
Junior Mentor
I am 20 years old and a third-year Medical Sciences student at the University of Cincinnati and a former Patient Care Assistant, bringing real-world healthcare experience and a strong foundation in service, responsibility, and leadership. I serve as an assistant instructor at Parks Taekwondo, where I work closely with younger students to develop confidence, discipline, respect, and mental toughness.
I am also a committed athlete, having completed two marathons and maintaining a consistent weightlifting and fitness regimen. Over the past year, I have been going through the Mahabah mentorship training and mentoring boys, and I am dedicated to helping the next generation of Muslims grow stronger in both faith and character while building healthy, disciplined lifestyles.

Br. Muneer Samad
Junior Mentor & Fitness Coordinator
I am a 20-year-old third-year student at the University of Cincinnati majoring in Supply Chain Management. I am deeply committed to fitness and personal development — having completed multiple marathons and maintaining a structured strength-training routine, including a 225-pound bench press. I emphasize consistency, mental resilience, and discipline, applying these principles to both physical training and daily life.
Over the past year, I have been going through the Mahabah mentorship training and mentoring boys, and I bring that same commitment and energy into the Level UP Program. Beyond fitness, I have a passion for car repair and a high entrepreneurial spirit — always looking to build, improve, and create. I am committed to helping young Muslims build strong iman, strong character, and strong bodies, believing a resilient ummah is built through disciplined individuals grounded in faith and purpose.
